YOUTH SERVICES IN THE DIOCESE OF NALGONDA - SURYAPET


As the famous words by Jesus in the Bible were, Go out to the whole world and proclaim the good news to the poor. With the same spirit and enthusiasm the community of Don Bosco Academy reached out in animating the seminar for the youth of surypet in Nalgonda with the invitation of Nirmala Sisters. The theme of the programme was to “How to Set Goals clear in life”. There were 50 youngsters participated in the programme, who were from different villages near by and far off. .

The meeting commenced with a solemn Holy Eucharist, presided by Rev. Fr. Balaswamy. M. the Parish Priest and Rev. Fr. Bhaskar sdb who preached homily stressing the importance of youth today. After the mass there was a short tea break and after which all the students gathered in the hall for the programme. The main animators of the programme were Rev.Fr. Bhaskar sdb and Br. Papireddy sdb from Don Bosco Academy Nalgonda, with the help of Nirmala sisters commenced the programme with prayer.

The programme started with the ice break session and after which Rev. Fr. Bhaskar sdb presented his theme on the importance of how to set goals clear in life. One of the main points that was highlighted by Rev. Fr. Bhaskar sdb was, to be SMART in life. The full form of smart is the first Specific; second Measurable, third Achievable the fourth Realistic and the fifth Time bound. Br. Papireddy on the other hand helped the young brands to rock the floor with creative party games and songs. One of the significant point that was highlighted by Br. Papireddy was that God has entrusted each of us with a responsibility in life and we need to fulfill it, and if we do not do it, will be eternally undone by anyone. After the programme, the students departed for lunch

. In the afternoon session all the students with the help of  Fr. Bhaskar sdb and Br. Papireddy sdb gathered for a group discussion on inspirational video clip. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by one of the participant  and  Sr. Lousy the youth animator of their congregation. The youngsters departed back home cheerfully.
Evangelical, Ecumenical and Interdenominational Youth meet at Don Bosco Academy

From 13th to 17th October a group of 70 youngsters gathered from all the corners of the diocese of Nalgonda for an evangelical, ecumenical and interdenominational youth meet. The Christian staff of the Don Bosco College were the animators of the programme. The purpose of the meeting was to promote the interdenominational dialogue among the youth of the diocese. The youth were also animated on the theme of the new generation  of leaders, a new breed of leadership that would best be described as a leadership that is not concerned in power of ourselves but power for a cause. The Director, Fr. Gopu Anand sdb congratulated the staff for the animation. 

DON BOSCO HIGH SCHOOL CHILDERN’S DAY CELEBRATIONS 2010-2011





The celebration of children’s day was held on 13th November 2010 in Don Bosco High school Nalgonda. There were 1000 students present for the programme. The chief guest of the programme was Madam Idi Ganz from Switzerland. There was also Rev. Fr. Anand SDB, the Director of Don Bosco Academy Nalgonda, Rev. Fr. Bhaskar the Headmaster of the school, teachers and parents for the celebrations.

The programme started with a note of prayer at 1.00 pm. There were many colourful Programmes by the students from each class. The comedy skit, speeches and other traditional songs and dances of children added more colour to the celebration.  Rev. Fr. Anand SDB the Director of the Don Bosco Academy addressed the children on this occasion. As a man of great experience in the field of Young at Risk who worked for several years to  rescue and protect street and working children;  for the promotion of their rights, for their holistic development and integration into the mainstream society as responsible citizens.shared on the pathetic situation of the  poor and abandon children in our state. He concluded saying that no child is orphan in this world as along as we are alive to protect and promote the children and youth at risk.  Rev. Fr. Bhaskar SDB the Headmaster of the school shared on the occasion on the importance of education and how it helps one to come up in life.

In honor of children’s day celebration there were also many sport competitions were held to the students. The prizes were distributed to the students of every class by the chief guest of the programme Madam Idi Ganz from Switzerland. Madam Idi on her behalf also presented a gift to all the children in the school. It was really a great gesture and an expression of love for children.

The programme concluded with a note of thanking the chief guest and all the people who contribute in making the programme successful. As the students departed back to their class the sweets were distributed. The programme ended at 4.30pm.

November 1 ...........All Saints Day

Hi friends i am back, with something new and interesting for you. For me today has been a blessed day, one among the main reasons were that celebrating All Saints Day. The meeting of the all saints day is that we live on earth as God's people and give our best in living out what God have given to us in life.

Many a time we get discouraged, depressed and confused but as a saint on earth we forge ahead and live our best.

Every saint and every sinner is the one who perceives the hand of God in their life. To be a saint or to be sinner it is in our hands in molding ourselves.
