TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATIONS 2010-2011DON BOSCO ACADEMY NALGONDA

Teachers are one of the greatest gurus whom we meet in our lives. They are not only the selfless givers but also the mentors of our lives. At every step of life, we come across teachers who devote their entire life for the enlightenment of students. For sure, teachers’ definition can’t be limited to a subject, because anyone who guides in life, is a teacher. Therefore, the parents are the first teachers who taught us to pronouns the word Amma. 

A teacher takes the place of the parents in the class rooms and especially in life. They are the ones who mould the children to live better life in the future. Many a times in life, we feel like thanking our teachers but we do not find a proper occasion. So this teachers’ day commemorate our teachers’ efforts and thank them for being the guiding lights in our lives. As the famous saying goes from the Sanskrit text : Guru brahma, guru Vishnu, Guru devo maheshwaaraha -  Gurussaakshaath param brahma tasmai shree gurave namaha, the meaning is, the Guru is the Lord Brahma (the Creator), the Guru is the Lord Vishnu (the Preserver), the Guru is the Lord Shiva (the Destroyer). The Guru is the Supreme Brahman (Ultimate Reality) visible to our eyes.

The Teacher's Day in Don Bosco Academy was celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm by the students.  With the help of the director Rev. Fr. Anand the students planned the programme and made it a great success. The day was dedicated to teachers, by praying, thanking and honoring them for the role they play in the life the students.  The celebration started with prayer tunes of the second year students who invoked the blessings of the almighty upon the teachers. Rev. Fr. Anand the Correspondent and Director of the Don Bosco academy addressed the teachers that: teaching is not profession but it is vocation that God has given to each of the teacher. God called all of us for a purpose and as teachers you have responded to your call. Now, it is your responsibility to mould the lives of the God given children. The massage was heart touching to all the teachers. The cultural programme brighten the hearts of the teachers and they were mesmerizes to see the children expressing their love towards them through dances and songs. The students also present a shoal to all the teachers which are symbol of love and appreciation of the work of the teachers.

The range of programmers was really appreciative by the teachers and staff of the college and school. After the conclusion of the programme all the teachers were invited to join in snack break which was arranged by the community. The teachers were very appreciative of the great gesture and love that was shown by the community. In this short span of time, the teachers were welcomed to share their views and experiences on the occasion. It was also a beautiful gesture from the student’s part in sharing their experiences about the teachers.

The teacher’s day celebration concluded with a great joy and happiness in the hearts of all the teachers. The arrangement of the programmers was honestly appreciated by the teachers. It was also a commendable part from the student’s part for having arranged a splendid programme in honor of Teacher’s Day celebration.
